Maintenance Specialist

Litehouse is seeking a passionate and strategic Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of machinery and equipment within a manufacturing setting. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical systems. This role requires a strong understanding of various mechanical systems, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring a safe and well-functioning work environment. You will work collaboratively with a team of maintenance professionals to minimize downtime and optimize production processes.

What you will do:

• Assists in the evaluation of maintenance procedures and initiates changes to optimize the maintenance program.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
• Analyze and perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment, including but not limited to, motors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance team members to address complex issues and support larger maintenance projects. Work closely with Maintenance Manager and team members to share knowledge and improve overall maintenance processes.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.
• Utilize technical manuals, blueprints, and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance logs.
• Provide detailed reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and recommendations for improvements.
• Recommend upgrades or modifications to extend the lifespan of machinery.
• Provide guidance and training to junior maintenance staff or other relevant personnel.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
• Identify and report potential safety hazards and contribute to the development of safety procedures.
• Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements.

Qualifications (Required unless otherwise specified):

• 7+ years' experience in an advanced maintenance role, with a focus on troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical training is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Know all the plant specific equipment and be able to independently resolve issues.
• Fill in for duties of Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager
• Lead and direct plant maintenance
