MRI Technologist

The Radiology / Cardiology MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI imaging procedures utilizing Siemens Magnetom Vida 3T and GE SIGNA HDE 1.5T equipment in a short-term acute care and Level II trauma hospital setting. The role requires proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records and Siemens MRI systems. The technologist will work a 7-on/7-off schedule, providing high-quality imaging services to support diagnostic and treatment processes in radiology and cardiology departments. On-call duties include one night per week. Responsibilities:

• Operate Siemens Magnetom Vida 3T and GE SIGNA HDE 1.5T MRI scanners to perform diagnostic imaging exams.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and preparation for MRI procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout imaging processes.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and workflow management.
• Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and healthcare team members to optimize imaging quality and patient care.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
• Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on MRI equipment.

• ARRT certification as an MRI Technologist.
• Proficient experience with Siemens MRI systems, specifically Magnetom Vida 3T.
• Experience with GE SIGNA HDE 1.5T MRI scanners.
• Demonstrated expertise using EPIC electronic medical record system (EPIC experience is mandatory).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.

• Experience in a short-term acute care or trauma hospital environment.
• Additional certifications in cardiology imaging or related modalities.
• Knowledge of safety protocols specific to MRI environments.

• On-call requirement: one night per week from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Must comply with hospital scrub color policy; scrubs provided in sterile units.
• Strict requirement to have EPIC experience; candidates without EPIC experience will not be considered.
• Floating between units is not required.
• Work environment includes Level II trauma and acute care settings.

• 7 days on, 7 days off schedule.
• Weekday shifts: Thursday through Wednesday, 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM.
• Weekend shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
• No block schedules or weekend requirements beyond assigned shifts.
