IT Specialist - Senior

Location: Hybrid, local to San Diego, CA Clearance: Secret Type: Full-time, Remote Salary Range: $98,000 - $126,000 per year

JOB DESCRIPTION

Critical Solutions is seeking a Senior IT Specialist to support our federal customer.

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform advanced systems installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting in order to maintain optimum Information Technology (IT) system operations.
• Design and oversee upgrades and new installs of IT systems and services ensuring coordination with Cyber Security Specialist.
• Perform Tier III upgrades of networking systems, IT systems, and storage networking.
• Perform Tier III troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management of Internet Protocol (IP), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and routing protocols.
• Integrate enterprise, regional, and local IT systems ensuring current network operations are sustained or oversee their recovery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active Secret clearance or higher
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field
• 10+ years of IT experience including Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and Network Address Translation (NAT).
• 5+ years of PowerShell scripting
• 3+ automation projects
• 3+ years creating scripts from scratch
• Must be local to San Diego, CA

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• IAT II certification
• Must possess a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance. In addition, selected candidate must undergo background investigation (BI) and finger printing by the federal agency and successfully pass the preceding to qualify for the position. US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

CRITICAL SOLUTIONS PAY AND BENEFITS:

Salary range $98,000 - $126,000. The salary range for this position represent the typical salary range for this job level and this does not guarantee a specific salary. Compensation is based upon multiple factors such as responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, and other requirements.
