Whenever accuracy, safety, security and reliability are critical, the solutions of Safran Electronics & Defense leads the way.The PositionAs a Production Operator I, you will be responsible for the assembly of small to medium-sized components, including the fitting, alignment, and adjustment of interrelated parts. This role involves performing precision soldering of electronic and mechanical components, ensuring reliable connections and adherence to quality standards. You will also troubleshoot and repair sub-assemblies and major assemblies, maintain production efficiency, and follow detailed work instructions to meet safety and performance requirements.The Day to DayUtilize a wide range of hand and power tools, along with electrical and mechanical fixtures and gauges, to perform precision assembly tasksOperate standard measuring and test equipment such as dial indicators, micrometers, and voltmetersWork with drills, jigs, fixtures, and light materials to support production activitiesPerform precision soldering of electronic and mechanical components as requiredInspect and test your own work to ensure it meets established specifications and quality standardsVerify and review the work of others for accuracy and compliancePerform a variety of mechanical, optical, and electrical/electronic operationsFollow detailed work instructions, safety protocols, and production proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environmentWhat You Bring to SafranHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentMinimum 3 years electronics assembly experience or equivalent with soldering experience on printed circuit boardsAbility to solder/de-solder/rework assemblies/SMT experienceIPC-610 & JStandard 001 (preferred)Ability to read and follow directions with heavy attention to detailAble to use ERP system to complete tasks as requiredAble to read color coded Process DetailsAbility to utilize Microsoft ProgramsAt Safran Electronics & Defense, you'll combine passion for your job with a quality work environment adapted to a good life balance.
