Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
This position is for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide immediate patient care in a fast-paced trauma center. The RN must be capable of starting as soon as possible and efficiently manage a high-volume ED environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer acute care to an average of 120 patients daily, ensuring timely assessments and interventions.
• Utilize Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) protocols to stabilize patients.
• Follow trauma and emergency care guidelines, including TNS or TNCC certifications.
• Coordinate care for trauma and stroke patients, adhering to NIHSS and stroke protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level 2 Trauma and Stroke Center, ensuring comprehensive patient treatment.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly in compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience.
• Certified in ACLS, BLS, and PALS; TNS or TNCC certification required.
• Possess NIHSS certification for stroke assessment.
• Demonstrate ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Skilled in trauma, stroke, and emergency care procedures.
