Anesthesiologist

NAPA is expanding its partnership with HCA Methodist Healthcare system in San Antonio, Texas, and is seeking an Anesthesiologist for Methodist Texsan Hospital. This role offers an opportunity to join a leading anesthesia provider at a 120-bed facility known for patient satisfaction and safety. The position involves comprehensive anesthesia care across various surgical specialties.

• Methodist Texsan Hospital is a 120-bed facility
• Features a Full-Service Emergency Department, 4 operating rooms, 4 cardiac catheterization labs, a 24-hour cardiovascular emergency department, and a rooftop helicopter pad
• Methodist Healthcare System is a 50-50 co-ownership between Methodist Healthcare Ministries and HCA Healthcare

Responsibilities

• Perform case assignments including Cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, electrophysiology, ECT and general cases
• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor the patient's physiological condition and perform clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $325 (per diem and 1099)

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
