Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires proficiency in dental terminology, infection control protocols, and familiarity with Eaglesoft. We are a fast-paced office, the ability to multitask is essential.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using dental software systems.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
- Assist in the sterilization of instruments and equipment as per industry standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and dental terminology is essential.
- Experience with Eaglesoft system is a plus.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and protocols is required.
