School-Based Occupational TherapistAssignment Area: Jefferson County Educational Service Center2023 Sunset BoulevardSteubenville, Ohio 43952Work Location: Anticipated Vacancy Edison Local and Indian Creek LocalSalary: Based upon education and experience on the salary scheduleEmployment Date: Beginning as soon as possible and continuing through the 2026–2027 school yearContract: 210-day contractQualifications and Requirements:Candidates must possess experience or be able to demonstrate a vast knowledge and skill set to provide School-Based Occupational therapy as a direct or related service for students with disabilities, ages preschool through high schoolExperience working with pre-school and school-age studentsMaster's degree in Occupational TherapyMust be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of OhioMust be well-versed in applicable state and federal lawSpecific Duties:Conduct occupational therapy assessments for evaluations and develop occupational therapy goals/ services for non-public studentsResponds to requests for consultation on students or consults on specific program needsResponds to evaluation referrals for students with suspected disabilities or re-evaluation of students with identified disabilitiesDevelop a present level of function and an Individual Educational Plan (IEP) with goals and objectives in conjunction with the IEP teamImplement service delivery to assigned students based on the goals, objectives, frequency/ duration, and placement as determined by the IEP teamExhibits knowledge of clinical theory and its application as it relates to the student's educational needsWork cooperatively with educational staff to identify areas where support is needed, including adaptation strategiesEngages in professional development and keeps abreast of new developments in the field.Other duties assigned by the Superintendent or their designee.
