Packaging Operator

Feed Manufacturing PositionBelstra Milling Co. is a family-owned agricultural business based in Demotte, IN. We are searching for an individual to work in our Feed Manufacturing department at our DeMotte location. Belstra thrives on making quality feed for livestock producers of all size. In addition, this position must work in compliance with all the company policies, local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.Job Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):Work with mill room manager on timelines and deadlines of ordersEnsure the proper bags and tags are being usedUse the fines recovery procedure properlyOperate bagging machine and properly stack bags on palletsInsure racks, bins and storage areas do not overflowSample feed and perform quality assurance testsComplete appropriate paperwork and reportsRotate stock and keep correct inventory controlOperate a forklift or other machinery used in a warehousePerform routine housekeepingPerform preventative maintenance on equipmentCapable of completing tasks correctly while focusing on quality, service, and safetySkills and Requirements (included but not limited to):Operation monitoringReading and mathematical comprehensionCritical thinkingPhysical Demands:Ability to regularly lift 60 poundsThis position requires the ability to walk, kneel, bend, climb, etc.Climb ladders and stairs and work at heights with good body balanceWork near moving mechanical parts and a fast-paced production environmentAbility to work in a dusty, cold, hot, humid environment and withstand exposure to seasonal weather conditionsEducation and Experience:High school degree or G.E.D.Previous feed manufacturing experience preferred not required
