What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government correctional location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points verify credentials and support controlled entry and exit procedures for staff visitors vehicles and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders.
• Support emergency and incident response by providing visible presence assisting with de-escalation when appropriate and following reporting and escalation procedures for security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
