RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Review patient needs and conditions to deliver nursing care in assigned unit
• Analyze patient information including medical history, diagnostic results, and current condition to develop individualized nursing care plans
• Prepare nursing processes such as medication administration and treatments
• Reconcile medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
• Evaluate patient response to interventions and identify additional interventions needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team for effective care planning
• Work in inpatient rehabilitation department providing specialized care for qualified patients with rehabilitation needs
• Care for patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility
• Maintain patient ratios of 6:1 during days, nights, and weekends
• Complete 24 hours of orientation
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Work with daily census of 39 patients in 49-bed unit
• Required: Associate's degree in nursing, 1 year experience as registered nurse, North Carolina nursing license or compact state license, BLS certification, Epic charting system experience
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing, 1 year clinical specialty experience, Trauma Level II experience
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance with 2 attempts allowed
• Complete non-billable modules averaging 2-4 hours during orientation
• Travel experience required
• Subject to float to any campus if needed
• Must live outside 50-mile radius

The facility provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The rehabilitation department focuses on delivering specialized care for patients recovering from strokes, aneurysms, post-operative surgeries, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries, maintaining high standards for patient care and regulatory compliance.
