Senior Cost Accountant

Kforce's client, a growing manufacturing organization located in the Lawerence, MA area, is seeking to hire a Senior Cost Accountant where you'll play a key role in cost accounting, financial analysis, inventory management, and business partnering. This position offers the opportunity to influence operational performance, support strategic decision-making, and gain exposure across a large finance organization. Starting with four weeks of PTO plus paid holidays, top tier healthcare benefits, 401(k) with company match, and employee stock purchase plan. This position will be fully on-site. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage standard costing processes, including materials, labor, overhead, outside processing, and yield analysis
• Oversee inventory valuation, physical inventories, cycle counts, and inventory controls
• Lead monthly close activities related to inventory, WIP, reserves, manufacturing variances, and production reporting
• Analyze revenue, costs, gross margins, and operational performance metrics
• Perform warranty and reserve analyses and ensure appropriate financial reporting
• Support SOX compliance, internal controls, audits, and process improvements
• Develop financial models and reporting tools to support business decisions and profitability initiatives
• Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis using SAP and other ERP systems
• Assist with forecasting, capital planning, and ERP system implementations
• Partner with operations and leadership teams to identify efficiencies and drive continuous improvement
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and ERP systems
• Experience with SAP preferred
