Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and monitor ED patients; initiate and adjust care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergent treatments; manage airway and hemodynamic status as needed
• Document care and patient responses clearly in the electronic medical record; communicate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and patient/family to ensure safe, efficient discharges and transitions of care
• Uphold patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement guidelines; practice within the professional standards and ethics of nursing
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families; participate in evidence-based practice and continuous learning

Requirements

• Current, active Georgia RN license (in good standing)
• Demonstrated ability to practice in an emergency department environment; strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Willingness to work nights and 12-hour shifts; ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
• Commitment to practicing under the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics
• Eligible for travel credentialing; capacity to meet assignment-specific onboarding and documentation requirements
• Education: RN degree from an accredited nursing program
• Relevant clinical experience in emergency care or a closely related acute care setting is preferred
