Requirements

• Licensed dental hygienist

Current licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of dental hygiene experience
Thorough knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality guidelines and dental safety regulations
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive bending
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong patient care focus

Job Description

Welcome patients and create a comfortable treatment environment
Discuss dental care plans and answer patient questions
Prepare and sterilize equipment for dental procedures
Take vital signs and record comprehensive medical histories
Conduct preliminary oral examinations and collect health data
Assess patients for gum disease, cavities, and infections
Perform plaque removal and apply fluoride treatments
Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene practices
Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
Comply with all health, safety, and HIPAA regulations and office policies
