Court Program Coordinator - Operation Drive

Court Program Coordinator – Operation Drive Program Temporary part‑time grant‑funded position within the 61st Judicial District Court. A part‑time schedule will be set and may vary Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Funding is expected to end by September 30, 2027. The Court Program Coordinator plans, manages, coordinates, and supports the court's specialty programs, specifically the Operation Drive Program. The program helps individuals obtain and retain a valid driver’s license by addressing underlying issues, such as license suspensions, outstanding traffic tickets, warrants, court appearances, fees, and fines, and by maintaining a structured process of monitoring and encouraging participants. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor the activities of the Court program. Serve as a link among the Specialty Program Court Team, Clerk’s Office, and participants. Schedule and meet with participants to explain the program, set expectations, answer questions, and gather information for the court’s plan. Prepare reports and provide recommendations; testify in court as required. Adhere to program policies, protocols, and applicable confidentiality laws (e.g., 42 C.F.R. Part 2, HIPAA). Attend case review and court hearings to report participant compliance and recommend incentives or sanctions. Collaborate with government and community agencies to meet program goals, funding requirements, and provide effective programming and ancillary services. Participate as an active team member to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the court’s services. Create and maintain participant progress tracking systems and document milestones. Collect, analyze, and report data and statistical information related to program operations and outcomes. Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance at required meetings. Minimum Training and Experience Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, behavioral sciences, corrections, psychology, social work, or a closely related area, together with clerical or administrative experience; or a combination of education and specialized experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Required Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations Successful completion of Criminal and Employment Background investigation. Obtain LEIN security certification within six months of hire. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Knowledge of court procedures, policies, legal documents, and related laws. Proficiency with computer applications and office equipment, including word processing and data entry. Awareness of community resources and programs for participants with identified needs. Ability to collect, analyze, and report data. Techniques for engaging with diverse individuals and handling potentially confrontational or strained interactions. Interpersonal skills necessary to establish effective relationships with court employees, organizations, and the public. Flexibility to adjust work hours, meet schedules and deadlines, maintain confidentiality, follow instructions, communicate effectively, and make decisions within the framework of laws and policies. Capacity to work under stressful, high‑paced conditions. Complexity and Decision Making The role involves making decisions within the context of court policies and procedures. Physical Requirements Work performed in an office environment. Requires reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, repetitive motions, and ability to remain in a sitting position for extended periods.
