The Ruffian Foundation is a nonprofit cat sanctuary dedicated to providing lifelong care to rescued and special-needs cats. We are seeking a passionate and organized individual to help strengthen our fundraising efforts and expand our grant funding.
This is an opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact on a small but growing sanctuary where every dollar raised directly supports food, medical care, and safe housing for vulnerable cats.
Responsibilities:
- Research grant opportunities aligned with animal welfare and nonprofit operations
- Assist in drafting and submitting grant proposals
- Help develop a simple annual fundraising plan
- Support online fundraising campaigns (including Zeffy)
- Track grant deadlines and reporting requirements
- Identify new funding streams and donor prospects
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with nonprofit fundraising or grant writing
- Strong writing and research skills
- Organized and deadline-driven
- Passionate about animal welfare
- Comfortable working independently in a small nonprofit setting
