Superintendent healthcare

About the Role Just Construction is seeking an experienced Healthcare Construction Superintendent for hospital renovation projects in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years of hospital renovation experience and a strong background leading daily field operations within occupied healthcare facilities. This role is best suited for a field-driven construction leader who can manage subcontractors, enforce safety and quality standards, coordinate phasing, and ensure work is executed efficiently with minimal disruption to hospital operations. This position is focused on field execution. Project administration, client communication, billing, RFIs, submittals, and overall project controls are handled by the Project Manager, allowing the Superintendent to focus on site leadership, subcontractor coordination, safety, quality, and schedule execution. Responsibilities Direct daily field operations on healthcare renovation projects. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and daily construction activities. Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules. Ensure work is completed in accordance with contract documents, project specifications, and quality standards. Implement and monitor infection control requirements, ICRA protocols, and interim life safety measures. Coordinate shutdowns, utility interruptions, and work within active hospital environments. Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inspections. Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports and progress updates. Participate in project planning, sequencing, logistics, and phasing meetings. Support inspections, AHCA-related coordination, turnover, and closeout activities. Communicate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, hospital facilities teams, and field personnel. Qualifications Minimum seven years of hospital renovation or healthcare construction experience. Proven experience working in occupied healthcare facilities. Strong knowledge of infection control barriers, ICRA requirements, and interim life safety measures. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents. Strong leadership, communication, and subcontractor management skills. Experience coordinating phased renovation work in active hospital environments. Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred. Strong commitment to safety, quality, schedule execution, and client satisfaction.
