About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10 Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years strongly preferred License: SC or Multi State/Compact RN license Certifications: BLS, Clienttion Badge Must-Have: Scrub Experience Description: Position: OR RN Shift: Will work 4x10s, Days, (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM), with holiday rotation, including one weekend working shift. On-call Requirement: Yes, up to four weeknight call shifts per four-week schedule. Weekend Requirement: Up to one working weekend shift every four weeks. Floating Requirement: Yes, must float within scope to meet facility needs. Experience: Minimum of two years in the operating room is strongly preferred. First-timers are accepted. Certifications: BLS is required. Experience with scrub procedures is strongly preferred. This facility is a level-one trauma center. There are 21 operating room suites covering all surgical specialties. The nursing team consists of a combination of Registered Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists. Registered Nurses are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures. This is a busy and dynamic environment. All employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season. Travelers should be aware of this assignment requirement if they confirm a new assignment during this time. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
