Respiratory Therapist - 13-Week Contract
This is a 13-week contract position with a schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Weekend shifts will rotate.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional care for patients in our facility. The ideal candidate will work closely with our healthcare team to deliver respiratory support and management, utilizing specialized equipment and coordinating with the medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and manage ventilator operations.
- Perform nebulization treatments and monitor oxygen levels.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Document patient care accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory care and equipment use.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RRT certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience in adult respiratory care; pediatric experience is a plus.
