Lead Software Engineer Developer - DevSecOpsCompany:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer Developer - DevSecOps to join the Special Projects Dallas (SPD) P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) team in Richardson, TX.At Boeing, our software engineers apply their expertise to develop, secure, and sustain next-generation software capabilities for advanced aerospace platforms. The Boeing SPD AAS team provides mission systems software for the P-8A, enabling mission and tactic planning, sensor interfacing, sensor data display, and mission replay capabilities. The team also supports training system simulations that enhance fleet operator readiness on the AAS mission.In this role, you will lead and independently execute DevSecOps and software engineering activities across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, integration, automated testing, security validation, deployment, and sustainment. You will help architect and implement secure, repeatable, and scalable software delivery pipelines that improve product quality, accelerate delivery, and strengthen cyber resilience across mission systems and training environments.Position Responsibilities:Leads and independently executes DevSecOps activities for mission systems and training software across build, test, deployment, and sustainment workflowsPartners with software, systems, cybersecurity, test, and IT teams to design, develop, secure, troubleshoot, and validate software solutionsDesigns, implements, and maintains CI/CD pipelines that support continuous integration, automated testing, security scanning, and controlled deploymentIntegrates security automation throughout the software lifecycle, including:static code analysissoftware composition analysiscontainer/image scanningvulnerability triage and remediationDevelops, documents, and maintains software architectures, requirements, interfaces, algorithms, and designsBuilds and maintains automation for software builds, packaging, environment provisioning, test execution, and software release processesSupports Infrastructure as Code and environment automation to improve repeatability and reduce manual configurationDrives secure coding practices, pipeline quality gates, and release readiness criteriaCollaborates with cybersecurity and compliance stakeholders to ensure software delivery workflows align with security requirements and development standardsTroubleshoot integration, deployment, performance, and runtime issues across development, test, and operational environmentsSupport automated and manual testing activities, document test results, and verify functional and cybersecurity requirements are metImprove observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities to enhance operational awareness and system reliabilityMentor team members on DevSecOps practices, secure development, automation, and delivery best practicesContribute to Agile development processes including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives, and use Jira to track and manage work throughout the software lifecycleDrive modernization efforts to transition legacy build and release processes into automated, secure, and maintainable workflowsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.
