Travel Registered Nurse Endoscopy Job

Overview

Responsibilities
- Administer conscious sedation as directed, monitor sedation levels, and manage airway as needed
- Observe and document patient vital signs during procedures and in recovery
- Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies; maintain sterile technique and instrument turnover
- Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures and related tasks throughout the procedure
- Recover patients after procedures and monitor post-procedure status, including anesthesia recovery considerations
- Document patient notes, discharge instructions, and intake for GI procedures; administer IV meds and fluids as ordered

Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of endoscopy procedure experience
- Telemetry monitoring and rhythm identification proficiency
- Conscious sedation experience and expert IV insertion
- Experience recovering patients from general anesthesia and performing GI procedure intake
