Transportation Aide

Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) is an educational organization. We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders to empower the students in overcoming challenges and creating new stories in their lives. We currently have openings for Transportation Aides. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Assist driver in transporting students safely to and home from school. Must comply with all state and local transportation laws and regulations and implement D.O.T safe driving requirements. Demonstrate the ability to follow directions. Must be able to assist students entering and exiting the vehicle. Will be responsible to monitor and supervise the behavior of the student in the vehicle and report any incidents of behavior to the Program Director. Must be able to work in a team environment. Will help to maintain a clean school vehicle. Will complete other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or Equivalent (G.E.D.) Experience working with children/students, preferred Utilizes effective written and oral expression Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, stoop, sit, lift, and reach in order to perform essential duties and responsibilities Valid Driver’s License, preferred Must provide successful and continued renewal of required clearances When applying to this position, please include a copy of your letter of interest, resume, and current clearances.
