Position Summary The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will begin employment in a front office role for a 90-day training and orientation period to gain a comprehensive understanding of practice operations, patient scheduling, registration, and customer service. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the CMA will transition into a clinical medical assistant role supporting orthopedic physicians and providers with patient care and clinical duties. This position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced orthopedic environment. Qualifications Required Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification. Basic computer and EMR proficiency. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Preferred Previous orthopedic or specialty practice experience. Experience with casting, splinting, or orthopedic procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods. Ability to assist patients with mobility needs. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate medical equipment and computer systems. Performance Expectations Demonstrate exceptional patient service and professionalism. Maintain accuracy in scheduling, documentation, and patient records. Successfully complete the 90-day front office training period. Demonstrate readiness to transition into clinical responsibilities. Adhere to all practice policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
