Junior Accountant

Junior AccountantWe are hiring for a Junior Accountant in the Smyrna, GA area. This position is a detail-oriented role primarily responsible for supporting our Accounting team with cost accounting, inventory, and month-end close activities. Total compensation includes $60-$65K base salary (OT Eligible) +100% paid Employee benefits and 70% for Family & Children!Essential Duties And Responsibilities:• Record and reconcile daily transactions (AP, AR, general ledger entries) • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes • Support inventory costing, cycle counts, and variance analysis • Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts • Help track fixed assets and depreciation schedules • Assist with cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations and project cost tracking • Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules • Support internal and external audits by gathering documentation • Assist with sales tax filings and other compliance reporting • Collaborate with production and procurement teams on cost-related questionsRequired:A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.0-2 years related experience, including internships; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must be proficient in MS Excel.Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, etc.) preferred.Familiarity with cost accounting and a manufacturing environment is preferred.Coursework or experience in financial accounting and/or cost accounting is a plus.Preferred:CPA track or progress toward certification is preferred.
