Interventional Radiologist

Job Description The duties of a Radiology physician include but are not limited to diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases using medical imaging procedures such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, and ultrasound ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ability to examine various types of images, including x-rays, computer tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine and ultrasound Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions and progress. Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care. Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to supervise, advice, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops REQUIRED BEHAVIORAL SKILLS: Integrity: A personal presence which is characterized by a sense of honesty and the willingness to do the right thing. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Medical doctor with 3 to 5 years of directly related experience which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty REQUIRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION: Federal DEA Certification Active Medical License in the state of Kansas Board certified or board eligible in Radiology PREFERRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION: BLS certified
