Job Title: Supply Specialist Reporting To: Product Line Lead Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is in search of an experienced Supply Specialist. The Supply Specialist is responsible for end‑to‑end purchase order placement to achieve site operational requirements, including management of purchase orders from placement through receiving parts, contact administration, coordination with strategic sourcing, site operations, regional supply chain teams, and cross‑functional resolution of supply chain issues. This position offers an onsite, first shift schedule with opportunity for hybrid, located in East Aurora, NY. Responsibilities Manage assigned suppliers from end‑to‑end, converting demand signals into purchase orders in accordance with contractual terms and Moog systems and processes. Create sole‑source justification and price analysis documents in support of Government DFAR regulations. Generate and manage purchase order documentation in alignment with Government Compliance Checklist requirements, including order entry as needed. Develop and execute procurement replenishment solutions and strategies, managing supply chain master settings responsibilities for assigned parts, coordinating and governing demand‑driven buffer strategies. Communicate directly with and influence suppliers to obtain or improve delivery commitments and provide the site with up‑to‑date information. Lead and facilitate cross‑functional teams to solve complex supply‑chain problems. Lead investigations for supplier non‑conformances and return‑to‑vendor (RTV) issues. Communicate and influence internal site functions to achieve operational goals. Coordinate with Logistics and Receiving Inspection (RI) to ensure parts are delivered to point of use as required. Liaise between other sites or operating groups to resolve issues impacting delivery or quality. Coordinate with strategic sourcing to operationalize contractual terms and conditions into integrated planning and placement processes. Lead cross‑functional teams across multiple Moog sites and determine allocation of shared supply across operating groups. Collaborate with finance, planning, and engineering to ensure proper billing for inter‑company repairs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or accounting and minimum 3 years of relevant supply‑chain procurement experience, or Associate’s degree and minimum 5 years of relevant supply‑chain procurement experience. Experience in PO placement and leading negotiations with external customers or suppliers. Supply‑chain/Procurement experience with electronics is a plus. Knowledge of procurement processes including PO placement, RFQ/RFP requirements, quality assurance, customer flow‑down requirements, parts scheduling, and management, DDMRP processes/inputs. Demonstrated ability to understand and follow supply‑chain regulations and procedures. Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization and experience working with external constituencies. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and react to shifting priorities to meet business needs. Ability to meet deadlines and commitments. Knowledge of Moog systems (MBS, TIPQA, PowerBi, Rapid Response, etc.). Access to United States Export Controlled information. Certifications in Purchasing, Supply Chain or Program Management (APICS or other industry standard certifications) are a plus. Salary Range Buffalo, NY $70,000.00–$90,000.00 annually (base range; actual salaries vary).
