Limited Permit Licensed Practical Nurse LPN New Graduate

Job Summary
Fairview Skilled Rehab & Nursing Home is seeking a compassionate and motivated Limited Permit LPN to join our nursing team. This position is designed for recent practical nursing graduates who have completed an approved LPN program and are authorized to practice under a New York State Limited Permit while awaiting licensure. You will work under the supervision of licensed nursing staff while providing exceptional care to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

• Administer medications and treatments as permitted by New York State regulations and facility policy.

• Monitor residents' condition and promptly report changes.

• Accurately document care provided in the electronic medical record.

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and resident assessments.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.

• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program.

• Current New York State Limited Permit to practice as an LPN.

• Eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN examination.

• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.

• Compassionate, dependable, and eager to learn.

• Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience is a plus but not required .
