Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00 PM - 06:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - Experience with EPIC EMR in a similar unit within the last 12 months - Ability to study telemetry strips independently - Successful completion of a basic dysrhythmia test during the first week of assignment Description: Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high-quality care to geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry patient populations. Telemetry ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights. Floating to non-critical care inpatient units, including the emergency department, is a requirement. The traveler may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census and is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour if called in. The traveler is responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. Passing the basic dysrhythmia test is required to work on the telemetry/med-surg unit.
