Senior Tax Accountant

Job Description Job Description Our organization is looking for a full time Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, highly motivated, have excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. A successful candidate will also have the ability to work independently or in a team environment. Three years experience at a public accounting firm required. Compensation to be adjusted commensurate with experience. Responsibilities: * Compliance with firm policies and procedures * Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, LLCs, fiduciaries, S and C Corps * Prepare projections for year-end tax strategies * Maintain general ledger accounts and financial records * Prepare year-end closings (including journal entries) * Respond to IRS and state tax notices * Perform reviews and compilations of financial statements * Communicate directly with clients and build client relationships Skills: * Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams * Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing * Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Online * Experience with Lacerte Tax, a plus * Experience with Xero, a plus Certifications: * CPA/EA or CPA Candidate, a plus
