Step into a dynamic school-based setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) and support students from PreK through 5th grade. This full-time, contract-based opportunity is perfect for professionals passionate about making a real difference in young learners’ communication skills during the crucial academic year.
Your expertise as an SLPA will be highly valued as you deliver tailored interventions, collaborate with dedicated educators, and help each child reach their fullest potential. The position begins as soon as possible and runs through May 28th, offering an engaging environment until the close of the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid credential as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience providing services in school settings, especially elementary levels, is preferred
- Familiarity with PreK–5th grade caseloads and individualized education program (IEP) implementation
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and collaborate with supervising SLPs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering speech and language therapy services to support students’ academic and social success
- Implement treatment plans and student goals under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Collect and document student progress, maintaining clear and accurate records
- Foster positive communication with students, teachers, and families
- Participate in school meetings, training, and ongoing professional development as appropriate
