Job Description Summary MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is an entity within the Medical University of South Carolina that provides healthcare to patients throughout the rural health network across the state of South Carolina. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative coverage at the front desk of the clinic. Schedule appointments for clients from outside medical, hospital, and correctional systems. Answer multiline telephones. Take payments from clients for clinical services. Complete client registration and documentation. Schedule interpreters for clients. Retrieve billing charges. Monitor the clinic appointment line. Perform telephone triage. Manage medical records. Handle billing and collections. Coordinate daily clinic preparation processes. Identify and check‑in/out patients. Post charges and manage cash. Manage referrals. Provide customer service. Distribute messages. Schedule ancillary services and prepare for them. Minimum Education & Experience High‑school diploma or equivalency plus one year of patient‑care experience in a health‑care facility; or a Certified Nursing Assistant; or completion of a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant course at an accredited institution; or EMT or Paramedic certification; or a Bachelor’s degree.
