Are you an HR professional who can balance empathy with accountability, make sound decisions independently, and earn the trust of employees and leaders?

Hernandez & Associates, P.C . is seeking a hands-on HR Manager to own day-to-day people operations for a fast-paced, client-focused law firm. You'll guide employee relations, recruiting, compliance, onboarding, and performance management, with room to grow into a broader strategic partner to leadership.
What You'll Do

Serve as the primary HR resource and trusted liaison for employees, managers, and firm leadership.
Handle employee relations, investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action, accommodations, and separations with discretion.
Advise and coach managers on performance, accountability, and employee development.
Manage HR policies, records, and compliance with federal and Colorado employment requirements.
Coordinate recruiting, structured selection, onboarding, retention, and offboarding for attorney and staff roles.
Use employee feedback and HR data to improve people practices and support a respectful, culturally responsive workplace.

What We're Looking For

7+ years of progressive HR experience, including substantial employee relations responsibility.
Strong knowledge of Colorado and federal employment law; sound independent judgment and confidentiality.
Ability to navigate sensitive situations and competing priorities in a busy, client-centered environment.
Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field, or equivalent education and progressive experience.

Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish; experience as the primary HR resource in a smaller organization; law firm or professional-services background; PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $85,000 - $90,000
