AI Applications Engineer

GE HealthCare seeks an Applied AI & Integrations Engineer to develop production AI capabilities and third-party platform integrations within their Science and Technology Organization. The role involves full-stack software development, API design, and machine learning deployment in a cloud-based healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Design and build end-to-end features across user interfaces, APIs, services, and data pipelines
Create integrations with third-party platforms and external data sources with proper authentication and error handling
Build public APIs, SDKs, and connectors for third-party developers with reference documentation
Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into production including model serving and RAG workflows
Establish evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and monitoring for AI features in production environments

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
4+ years professional software development experience across full stack
1+ year building scalable distributed systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP with containerization
Strong Java experience with modern microservice frameworks like Spring Boot or Quarkus
Hands-on experience integrating third-party APIs including OAuth 2.0 and OIDC authentication
Hands-on experience calling AI/ML services or large language model APIs
