SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Patients consistently report satisfaction, trust, and a sense of being genuinely heard and cared for during every office visit and follow-up interaction with the Nurse Practitioner. Clinical charting and EMR documentation are thorough, accurate, and compliant, completed in a timely manner that keeps the care team informed and supports seamless continuity of care for every patient. Surgical assistance is provided with the technical competence, preparation, and composure required to support the attending podiatrist effectively and contribute to safe, smooth, and efficient surgical outcomes. Treatment plans developed and communicated in collaboration with the supervising physician are evidence-based, personalized, and result in measurable improvement or resolution of patient conditions over time. Clinic flow remains efficient and collaborative, with patients seen on time, documentation current, and the care team well-informed and well-supported throughout every patient encounter. OBJECTIVES Conduct patient evaluations in office, including history intake, physical examination, and review of diagnostic imaging, gathering thorough and accurate clinical information that supports the attending podiatrist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Assist the attending podiatrist in surgical procedures, preparing appropriately, performing assigned intraoperative responsibilities with precision and professionalism, and supporting a safe and efficient surgical environment throughout every case. Maintain thorough, accurate, and compliant EMR documentation for every patient encounter, surgical case, treatment decision, and follow-up, ensuring that all records are completed in a timely manner and meet the documentation standards required by the practice and applicable regulations. Support the management of acute and chronic foot and ankle conditions in collaboration with the supervising podiatrist, contributing to individualized care plans that incorporate conservative, pharmacologic, orthotic, or surgical approaches based on patient need and clinical evidence. Provide patient education during every office visit, explaining diagnoses, treatment plans, expected outcomes, recovery timelines, and self-care strategies in a clear and compassionate manner that helps patients understand and actively participate in their care. Perform in-office clinical tasks as directed by the supervising podiatrist, including wound care assessments, dressing changes, and other support activities that contribute to the continuity and quality of patient care across all visits. Collaborate closely with medical assistants, administrative staff, and the attending physician to ensure a seamless and efficient patient experience from check-in through discharge, maintaining clear and timely communication across the care team at all times. Support diabetic foot care and wound care management by monitoring patient progress, documenting clinical findings accurately, and communicating any changes in patient condition or healing status to the attending podiatrist promptly. Manage patient follow-up communication by addressing post-visit questions, relaying clinical guidance from the supervising physician, and ensuring that patients feel supported and well-informed between appointments. Maintain a working knowledge of podiatric medicine best practices, surgical protocols, and relevant clinical guidelines, staying current through continuing education and applying updated knowledge directly to patient care responsibilities within the scope of the NP role. Uphold the highest standards of clinical ethics, patient privacy, and regulatory compliance in all aspects of documentation, communication, and care delivery, ensuring that every interaction and record reflects Clover Podiatry's commitment to integrity and excellence. Surgical Assistance: Provides skilled and prepared support to the attending podiatrist during surgical procedures, demonstrating the technical proficiency, focus, and composure required to contribute to safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical outcomes. Medical Documentation and EMR Proficiency: Maintains accurate, complete, and timely EMR documentation for every patient encounter and surgical case, treating charting as a clinical responsibility that directly supports care quality and team communication. Patient Communication and Education: Communicates with patients in a clear, warm, and accessible manner, explaining clinical information, treatment plans, and self-care expectations in a way that builds understanding, confidence, and active participation in their recovery. Collaboration and Team Support: Works effectively and proactively within a small, high-performing clinical team, keeping the attending physician and support staff well-informed and contributing to a care environment where every member feels supported and aligned. Clinical Judgment: Applies sound clinical reasoning to patient assessments and care decisions within the scope of the NP role, recognizing when to elevate findings or defer to the supervising physician and consistently prioritizing patient safety and evidence-based practice. Diabetic and Wound Care Knowledge: Applies knowledge of diabetic foot care and wound management protocols to patient monitoring and documentation, supporting the care team in delivering consistent and clinically appropriate care for these high-need patient populations. Attention to Detail and Accuracy: Approaches documentation, patient assessment, and surgical support with a high degree of precision, understanding that accuracy in every clinical detail directly affects patient safety and the quality of care delivered. Regulatory Compliance and Ethics: Upholds all applicable legal, ethical, and compliance standards in documentation, patient privacy, scope of practice, and care delivery, reflecting Clover Podiatry's commitment to integrity and the highest professional standards. Time Management and Clinic Efficiency: Manages patient scheduling, documentation, and care team communication in a way that keeps clinic flow smooth, on time, and organized, contributing to a productive and professional environment for patients and staff alike. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a Nurse Practitioner specialization from an accredited program required. Current national board certification through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) required. Active Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license required. Active RN license in good standing in the state of Washington required. Prior clinical experience in podiatry, orthopedics, surgery, wound care, or a related specialty preferred; candidates with strong relevant clinical rotations and training will be considered. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and clinical documentation required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach to every clinical interaction. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a small, high-performing clinical team in coordination with the supervising podiatrist. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to stand for extended periods during patient examinations, office procedures, and surgical assistance. Must be able to assist with surgical procedures requiring manual dexterity, physical stamina, and sustained focus throughout the duration of each case. Must be able to move throughout clinic areas efficiently to support patient flow and care team coordination across all areas of the practice. Must be able to sit and work at a computer for documentation, charting, and administrative tasks throughout the workday.
