Key Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, blast (grit/sandblasting), degrease, and etch metal substrates to ensure proper coating adhesion.
• Masking and Fixturing: Cover designated areas using tape, rubber, specialized metal masks, or fixtures to protect un-coated sections.
• Coating Application: Operate thermal spray, arc spray, plasma spray, or HVLP (High-Volume Low-Pressure) spray systems to apply metal, paint, or specialized compounds.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished surfaces for thickness, defects, and adhesion using precision tools like micrometers, calipers, and elcometers.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting on spray guns, hoses, control boxes, and blast cabinets.
• Safety Compliance: Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) like respirators and adhere to OSHA and site-specific environmental guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial painting, or thermal/metal spraying.
• Technical Skills: Technical coating specifications.
• Physical Stamina: Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long shifts, and work in confined spaces or at heights if required.

PCW was originally known as a piping fabricator that mass produced pig traps for the midstream sector for the one of the biggest Natural Gas producers. Now, PCW has grown to become an ASME vessel shop capable of taking on many types of projects for several different industries.

Throughout the last two years it has been goal to become diversified where our team can take on many different types of projects and successfully complete them without losing sight on our safety record and quality standards.

Our specialty is designing and building modular compressor stations, building all types of ASME vessels, being able to take on capital piping projects, and providing structural fabrication needs for all of the above.

Our goals for the future are to utilize our ASME U/S/R stamp by building more ASME vessels and utilizing our S stamp for taking on specialty piping projects.
