Electrical Superintendent Department: Field Employment Type: Full Time Location: North Carolina Reporting To: Site Superintendent Description This position is for a data center down in North Carolina. Join Our Team as a Site Superintendent! Slifco Electric is a premier electrical contracting firm serving the Automotive, Heavy Industrial, and Mission Critical sectors. We specialize in both ground-up construction and major renovations, managing electrical packages ranging from small service work to multi-million-dollar installations. We’re looking for an experienced Site Superintendent to lead field operations, drive productivity, and oversee electrical installations on large-scale construction projects. This role will be managing the labor, coordination, materials and production for electrical construction projects. Provide technical expertise in installing and troubleshooting electrical wiring and equipment. Work cooperatively with the general contractor and/or customer in managing the project, project schedule and employees. Monitor installations and ensure work is performed according to Slifco Electric standards and project specifications. What You'll Be Doing: Supervision of all field production activities; Provide assistance to General Foreman/Foreman in planning the job, ordering materials/tools and manpower. Work with appropriate Project Managers and Regional Superintendent and/or Director of Field Operations to establish project goals at the beginning of the project and monitor success in reaching those objectives on an ongoing basis. Review and monitor labor efficiencies, hours and ratios. Project the labor needs for the duration of the project. Prepare, review, distribute and/or maintain all required installation documentation. Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues. Ensure the proper safety equipment, materials and tools are onsite to perform required work. Maintain complete and accurate “as-builts” as per Slifco Electric procedures and project requirements. Be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including project owners, architects, general contractors, management, crew members, etc. Adhere to project contract document changes and Slifco Electric change order notice-to-proceed policies. Adhere to all Slifco Electric, state and federal safety policies and procedures. Ensure all work performed meets NEC, federal, state, county, local codes and contract documents. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures included in the Slifco Electric Employee Handbook. What We're Looking For: 5+ years as a Site Superintendent and 3+ years as a General Foreman (or similar role). Industrial electrical construction experience (data center preferred). IBEW Journeyman Inside Wireman ticket (required). Strong leadership experience in a union environment. Deep knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and installation methods. Strong knowledge and experience related to scheduling, material lead times, product knowledge and installation durations. Well-versed in the installation of power systems: lighting, fire protection, security and data networks. Ability to read blueprints and manage large field teams. OSHA 30 (required), Fall Protection training, Confined Space training, Trench & Excavation training, CPR/First Aid, NFPA-70E all a plus NFPA 70E, Fall Protection, Confined Space, CPR/First Aid (preferred). Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams), Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Bluebeam. Physical Demands: Must be willing and able to work a 6-10’s schedule for the duration of the project. Must be willing and able to pass a 10-panel rapid drug screen. Lift 50 lbs from ground and pull 50 lbs of force. Perform ladder climbing, conduit installation, and wire pulling. Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires. Work off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms.
