Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU/CCU RN with a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience and an active IL RN license for a night shift assignment.

Details

Work in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of a hospital's Intensive Care Unit setting
12-hour night shifts scheduled from 1900-0730, three days per week
Weekend commitment of 5 shifts within a 6-week period
Holiday coverage required on an every-other basis
Uses specialized equipment including ventilators, respirators, oxygen pumps, and cardiac monitors
Monitors and records intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, and cardiac rhythms
Epic charting experience required

Requirements

Active IL RN license in good standing
Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
ASN required, BSN preferred
Level 1 Trauma experience required
Epic EMR charting experience required

Additional Information

Manage a designated patient assignment utilizing the nursing process to deliver individualized care
Complete initial patient assessments and develop care plans based on patient and family needs
Support early mobility efforts for ventilated patients
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Prepare equipment and assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments
Respond to life-saving situations according to nursing standards and unit protocols
Utilize hourly rounding, bedside reporting, and whiteboards to enhance patient and family communication
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment
RTO not to exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract
