Summary
Hands-on engineering role supporting the launch and scale-up of manufacturing operations in Charleston. The position combines manufacturing/process engineering with production and capacity planning, material flow, ERP/MRP discipline, work instructions, quality and direct shop-floor support.

Responsibilities

Own and improve production processes, routings, work instructions, standard work and manufacturing documentation.
Develop production, capacity and resource plans aligned with incoming orders, equipment capability and required delivery dates.
Support ERP/MRP and production-data accuracy, including materials, routings, inventory, scheduling and manufacturing status.
Analyze material flow, bottlenecks, labor utilization, throughput, quality and lead-time performance; implement practical improvements.
Support equipment commissioning, process validation, layout optimization and introduction of additional manufacturing capability.
Partner with operations, logistics, engineering, sales/project teams and European technical resources to resolve production and product issues.
Apply Lean / continuous-improvement methods and establish measurable shop-floor performance controls.
Provide hands-on technical support to operators and help develop training, quality checks and repeatable production standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Process Engineering or a closely related discipline; strong recent graduates may be considered.
Manufacturing, process, production-planning or industrial-engineering experience in a hands-on environment.
Working knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, ERP/MRP, material flow and manufacturing documentation.
Strong problem-solving, communication and ownership mindset; comfortable working directly on the production floor.
Ability to operate effectively in a startup/ramp-up environment where processes and systems are still being built.

Preferred Background

Advanced manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, fabricated products, architectural products, glass, aluminum, millwork orconfigurable assembly.
Lean / Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, quality systems, line balancing, time studies or continuous improvement.
Experience with CNC/fabrication/assembly equipment and production-system implementation.
