Job Full Description

Express Employment Madison West (Fitchburg) partnered with a local industrial pump company in search of a 1st shift Shop Technician !

**Candidates MUST have at least 5 years of industrial pump repair experience**

Our Client is a small, busy, and well-respected industrial pump company. They sell, install, service, and repair a wide variety of industrial pumps.

General Job Description and Duties:

Perform a variety of shop duties.
Team player who can function independently at a high level.
Repairs in shop and service calls, document repairs, loading and unloading trucks.
Diagnose, repair, and replace parts; test pumps.
Complete paperwork documenting each teardown and repair.
Build, prepare for shipping, and install a variety of pumps.
Welding and Fabrication
Machine Operating
Keep workspace clean and organized.
Time management and organizational skills.
Ability to follow standard workplace health and safety procedures.
Ability to complete tasks in a timely and safe manner
Minor Duties and Responsibilities- Building maintenance.
Other tasks as assigned by the Shop Manager.

Job Qualifications:

Strong mechanical knowledge required
Machine Operating experience is required
Welding- MIG/TIG/Stick referred.
Able to operate a forklift preferred
Quality experience preferred
Light computer knowledge required
Candidates MUST have at least 5 years of industrial pump repair experience.

Key Competencies:

Broad knowledge of mechanical experience working with industrial pumps.
Willing to learn about a variety of pumps.
To test and document completed repairs.
Organize, clean, and keep a safe workspace.
Complete all paperwork immediately upon completion of tasks.
Stay focused on current tasks and efficient use of work hours.

Physical Requirements:

Physical ability to spend working hours on your feet, lift, and move heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform repairs in tight spaces.

Hours:

8am-4pm, Monday-Friday (Hours could be somewhat flexible)

Pay:

Starting at $55k/yr, based on Experience.
