Come join our ELSO Platinum Center Of Excellence Program! The ECMO Specialist is expected to prime, initiate therapy, independently perform circuit exchanges and emergent interventions, and be proficient in the operation of multiple ECLS components and pumps. Performs intra/inter hospital transport of ECLS patients as part of the interdisciplinary Rapid ECMO Deployment Team.ECMO ICUPatient Population: All ECLS patients receiving VA, VV, VP, VA-V, RVAD and ECPR therapies. Disease processes including but not limited to postcardiotomy syndrome, cardiogenic shock, advanced heart failure, pre and post heart/lung transplant, ARDS, and post cardiac arrest.Patient Ratios: ECMO Specialist to pump ratio 1:3Department Specifics: 10 dedicated ECMO beds located inside CTTICU, dedicated ICU physicians and ACNP coverage 24/7, 100% certification rate (CCRN, CSC), multiple research trials and publications, and 1 of 2 NTX ECMO programs with ECMO Specialist RN led transport teams.Baylor University Medical Center (Baylor Dallas), part of Baylor Scott & White Health, is a major patient care, teaching and research center located in Dallas, Texas.
