Conservation GIS Specialist

Colorado State University - Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands Fort Johnson, LA Job Type: Contractor Remote/Telework Option: No Pay Range: $60,000-$80,000 Job Status: Full-Time Job Description Provides GIS support for Conservation Branch programs including T&E species, INRMP, NEPA, and Forestry. Requirements BS in environmental science, geography, or related field. Three (3) years of professional work experience with GIS managing geospatial data including data collection, digitizing, attribution, and documentation (metadata) is required. Proficient knowledge of ESRI’s suite of software including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Collector/Field Maps, ArcGIS Survey123 Connect, or similar mobile and desktop GIS applications. Experience managing natural resource geospatial datasets within ArcGIS Pro. Demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience in natural resources management. Professional supervisory experience. Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license by the employment start date. Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) (U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite) by the employment start date. The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by proposed start date; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
