Medical Assistant (certified)

Certified Medical Assistant needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's primary care clinic located in Northbrook, IL. This primary care clinic also provides behavioral health, chiropractic, and physical therapy. Seeking a CMA that is proficient in phlebotomy, POCT, and EKG's and is comfortable with front desk duties such as answering the phones and scheduling appointments. Schedule: Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri 8a-5p, Wed 9a-6p Duration: 8/10-11/1 with possible extension or direct placement Pay: $19-23/hr What You'll Be Doing: Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination Cleans and sterilizes instruments Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests Schedules appointments and makes follow up phone calls to patients Performs administrative tasks, completes appropriate client company and OSHA regulated forms, and provides assistance at front desk Keys data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records May require other duties as assigned What You Need to Bring to the Table: BLS Certification Strong experience in Phlebotomy, POCT, EKG Front desk experience preferred Epic experience is preferred National Medical Assistant Certification from one of the organizations below is required.
