Position – Soft Chew Catcher/Toter (Manufacturing Associate)

Job Location – Menomonie, WI

Starting Date – Immediate

Employment Term – Long-Term Temporary to Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) – 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Starting Pay – $17.00 per hour; increases to $18.00 per hour upon permanent hire

Required Experience – Previous manufacturing, production, packaging, warehouse, or other relevant work experience preferred

Position Summary

As a Soft Chew Catcher/Toter, you will work as part of a production team manufacturing animal health and nutritional products. You will catch soft chews as they come off the cooling conveyor, load trays onto pallets, assist with machine setup and cleanup, and monitor products for quality and consistency.

This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, likes to stay busy, and brings a get-it-done attitude to work each day.

Responsibilities

• Collect soft chews on large trays as they come off the cooling conveyor
• Move filled trays and place them onto pallets
• Assist the Machine Operator with equipment setup
• Monitor product quality and consistency
• Complete required metal detection checks
• Assist with packaging and labeling products as needed
• Clean machine parts after production is completed
• Help clean the production room at the end of the day, including scheduled deep cleaning
• Follow established safety, quality, sanitation, and production procedures
• Work with the team to ensure daily production batches are completed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Stable and reliable work history
• Previous manufacturing, production, packaging, warehouse, or similar experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable with a positive, get-it-done attitude
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for the majority of the shift, with some seated work at the end of the conveyor
• Ability to regularly bend, reach, twist, lift, and move throughout the workday
• Comfortable assisting with cleaning and sanitation duties
• Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check

Work Environment

You will work in an active manufacturing environment producing animal health and nutritional products, including soft chews, gels, and dry mixes. Employees receive two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute meal break.

The normal schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Because production batches must be completed the same day, you must be flexible to occasionally come in early or stay late with limited notice. Occasional Saturday work may also be required to meet production needs.

Cell phones are not permitted in the production area and must be left in your vehicle during the workday.
