Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Requirements:
- Valid California RN license
- ACLS certification
- AWHONN Intermediate certification
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3
- Proficient in Epic charting

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for high-risk obstetric patients in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Mother-Baby, and Newborn care settings.
- Assist in circulating for C-sections and monitor fetal patterns.
- Perform assessments and care for newborns, including APGAR scoring and metabolic screening.
- Administer medications and IV therapy, including magnesium sulfate and oxytocin, and manage obstetric emergencies.
- Support breastfeeding and educate families on newborn care, including car seat safety.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Must be willing to work weekends and 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
- Floating may be required within scope of practice to affiliate facilities within a 50-mile radius.
- Pre-approved time off is limited to one request; no more than 7 days of requested time off.
