VCA DeLand Animal Hospital is hiring a full time Veterinary Assistant to join our General Practice team!

Candidates must be positive and motivated with 3-5 years of experience. The hospital team meets frequently, and your ideas and suggestions are encouraged to help us continue to grow. Compensation: Is $17 - $19 / hr based on skill set, and experience.

What You'll Do

Whether you are a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or technician in training, we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

Veterinary Assistant Duties Include

• Physical examinations, patient assessment, and recovery

• Intubation, anesthesia and monitoring

• IV fluid administration and CRI calculations

• Hands Free Radiology and diagnostic imaging

• Client communications and discharge
