Aviation Civil Engineer/Project ManagerMichael Baker International is seeking an Aviation Civil Engineer/Project Manager based in our Columbia, South Carolina office to support the planning, design, and delivery of airport infrastructure projects. This role includes leading aviation civil design teams and managing projects through planning, design, and bidding phases, working closely with designers, contractors, and airport stakeholders in active airfield environments.Engineering & Field SupportLead the design and delivery of aviation infrastructure projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, airfield pavements, utilities, and support facilitiesServe as engineer of record for aviation civil projects.Review plans, specifications, and submittals for technical accuracy and constructabilityProject ManagementCoordinate with clients and prepare state and federal grant applicationsDevelop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets through design phasesParticipate in client, consultant, and construction meetingsLead coordination between design, engineering, and construction teamsPrepare project documentation including meeting minutes, progress reports, and closeout materialsQualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field7+ years of experience preferably supporting aviation or airport infrastructure projectsPE registration requiredKnowledge of airfield pavement systems, civil site design, and construction means and methodsUnderstanding of project management principles and construction coordinationExcellent communication and leadership skillsCompensation The approximate compensation range for this position is $96,000 to $151,000. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
