Job Overview Jobs in this job family are responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures to support patient care, clinical research, and medical education. They utilize advanced imaging technologies such as X-rays, MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology to produce high‑quality images that aid in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of medical conditions. These roles focus on using ultrasound technology to produce images of the body’s internal structures, such as organs, tissues, and blood vessels – essential for diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions. Responsibilities Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty typically diagnose, treat, and care for patients, often interacting face‑to‑face. They may also spend time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills. Qualifications Requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and requires vocational or technical education. Works under moderate supervision; problems are typically routine, though may occasionally require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. Requires the ability to communicate information that may need explanation or interpretation. Minimum Requirements Education: Meet the education requirement for diagnostic medical ultrasound or echocardiography ultrasound certification with either CCI or ARDMS; Associate’s degree preferred. Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required. License/Certification: Registered Vascular Technologist certification required within 12 months of hire; ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification required; American Heart Association BLS certification required. Physical Demands Standing for prolonged periods; frequent bending/stooping, overhead and repetitive reaching; repetitive computer keyboard use. Requires proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail; ability to write legibly; ability to lift, push or pull 50–100 lbs. May be exposed to cold, dust, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. Compensation The starting base rate for this role is $36.13 per hour. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate’s qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
