Contract | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Rotating Days and Nights (07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to neonatal patients in a high-acuity Level 4 NICU setting
• Operate and monitor advanced respiratory equipment including oscillators, conventional ventilators, CPAP, and nasal cannula specialty gases
• Manage complex vascular access including PICC lines, Broviacs, UAC, UVC, and PAL lines; perform line changes involving multiple drips
• Deliver pre- and post-operative care for surgical neonates, including management of trachs, ostomies, and G-tubes
• Float within scope of practice to other units and satellite campus locations as needed; mileage reimbursed from home base facility
• Maintain flexibility to work weekends and 2 out of 3 holidays as required

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license (or confirmed ETA for licensure posting prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Level 4 NICU
• Cardiac experience required
• BLS certification (current)
• Advanced NRP certification (current)
• Must have reliable personal transportation; local candidates (within 50 miles of facility) are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification
• Level 3 NICU experience may be considered if the candidate has strong surgical experience from a facility that performs surgeries on newborns
• First-time travelers with verified Level 4 NICU experience will be considered
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
