Location: Brighton, CO 80602
Pay Rate: $23.50/hour
Job Type: Full-Time Contract role from September through end of year January 2027
Start Date: ASAP!
Schedules Available (100% Onsite): Friday–Sunday | 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM (2x) and Friday–Sunday | 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM (2x). Must be able to pass background and drug screening!
Company Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher to support daily cross-dock terminal operations in a fast-paced transportation and logistics environment. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound freight activity, maintaining accurate shipment records, supporting dock operations, and ensuring timely communication between drivers, carriers, customers, and warehouse teams. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound freight movements through a high-volume cross-dock facility.
- Maintain accurate shipment, inventory, and transportation records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Validate and record transportation and receiving data both manually and within system platforms.
- Prepare and process shipping and receiving documentation, including pick lists, packing lists, bills of lading, and proof of delivery (POD) documents.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, customers, warehouse personnel, and management to ensure smooth freight flow and on-time service.
- Verify incoming products and update inventory records to maintain operational accuracy.
- Direct yard and commercial drivers to designated dock doors and staging locations based on terminal schedules and freight requirements.
- Support dispatch operations through data entry, phone communication, radio communication, and general administrative activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, warehousing, distribution, or cross-dock terminal operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and order entry systems.
- Experience coordinating inbound and outbound freight, dock scheduling, yard management, and shipment documentation.
- Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with drivers, carriers, customers, and operations teams.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, inventory control, proof of delivery (POD) management, bills of lading, packing lists, and freight-related documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced transportation, warehouse, or distribution environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, data entry, and administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail.
