Payroll Clerk

Mercedes Cab Company is a multi-disciplined transportation provider serving Cape Cod and the South Coast of Massachusetts. Operating under the Cape Destinations, The Funk Bus, Mayflower Trolley, and Pilgrim Transit brands, we offer on-demand transportation, special event bus excursions, and non-emergency medical transportation services across the region. The Role We're looking for a detail-oriented, reliable Part-Time Payroll Clerk to join our administrative team. This role is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for our drivers and staff, maintaining payroll records, and supporting our HR and Finance Functions. Key Responsibilities Process Weekly Payroll For hourly and salaried employees Track and verify employee hours, overtime, PTO, and shift differentials Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees professionally and confidentially Maintains and updates employee benefits in the payroll system Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly Prepare payroll reports for management as needed Assist with onboarding paperwork related to payroll setup (tax forms, direct deposit, etc.) Support year-end payroll processes (W-2s, 1095C, Etc.)
